This unit also comes with an indicator that tells you when both of the filters need to be washed or changed. One of the filters is washable, and the other is not.

However, what does need to be said is that this purifier comes with a true HEPA filter, and it comes with 3 stages of filtration.

The pre-filter removes dust, lint, fur, and other such contaminants from the air, the true HEPA filter removes mold spores, pollen, pet dander, and other such pollutants, and the carbon filter removes odors, such as smoke and pet odors.

In terms of filter aircleansed09-20nts, the LEVOIT H13 True HEPA Filter Air Purifier comes with an indicator that tells you when the filters need to be either washed or replaced. It is recommended that filters be replaced every 6 to 8 months.

What is important to note is that this model is CARB certified. You might also like it because it’s not overly loud, topping out at 46 decibels on the highest setting.

Together, these 3 filters remove up to 99% of airborne contaminants, things like fur, dust, pollen, other allergens, pet dander, and odors too.

Keep in mind that the pre-filter can be washed, but the other 2 will need to be replaced at some point, around every 6 months.
